Update: Found a tiny bookshop with a *pirate flag* out front (???). Owner swore the place is haunted by a cat. Bought a weird old cookbook. If you want retro candy, look for that neon sign. I once dropped a whole pie in the sand at Whitefish Dunes. Still ate half of it (no regrets).


For picnics, try Egg Harbor Marina—there's shade, tables, and if you get bored, just watch the boats come and go.

Did the Sagan Planet Walk with my kid—turns out Pluto is really far. Ended up at Purity Ice Cream, which honestly is worth every brain freeze.


Pro tip: never try to parallel park downtown on graduation weekend unless you’re a wizard.
