Just did Dry Falls last week, got soaked but my dog loved it. Cheese shop=5 stars. Rain = not so much.

Eureka Springs: Clawfoot Tubs & Ghosts?

Treated myself to a weekend in Eureka Springs and suddenly believe in reincarnation (as a rubber duck in a Victorian tub).


Spa Row is an absolute trip—so many old buildings, one even claims “healing springs” and I got a cucumber water I still dream about.

Spent a rainy night in Wall last fall—campground was muddy but the owner let us park under an awning and told us the best local fishing spots. If you need supplies, the hardware store will special order almost anything (they got me tent stakes overnight). Only regret: didn’t get a jackalope selfie ...

Stopped in for Makanda Spring Fest, lost my car, found myself. Is it just me or do the artists here actually try to out-weird each other? Bought a tiny ceramic sasquatch and a painting of a frog eating pizza. Never leaving.
