Check in at the Smeatons Pier office. Wind and swell can cancel or change the route even when rain does not. Lifejackets are supplied. Passengers need to manage at least three steps, the harbour route is not wheelchair friendly, and dogs may need to be carried for part of the pier. Seal Island has no landing. Contact the operator before booking when boarding, pregnancy, mobility, or a dog raises questions.
